Netscape:
1. Under the Edit menu choose Preferences
2. Under Mail and Newsgroups, choose Newsgroups Servers
3. If you do not see nntp.stanford.edu... then press Add... type nntp.stanford.edu as the server and press okay
4. Set nntp.stanford.edu as default.
5. Hit the newsgroup button on your communicator menu bar (generally the middle button at the bottom of the window).
6. Right click on the nntp.stanford.edu sign and press subscribe newsgroup.
7. Type in su.class.cs103
8. This should add the cs103a to your newsgroups and you should be able to click on it to read
Using pine on leland system (ie: myth, saga, elaine, etc.):
1. At prompt type in pine
2. Press "l" (that is a lower case L) for folders list
3. select the nntp.stanford.edu
4. Press "a" for Add
5. Type in su.class.cs103
